The total number of seats available this cycle is 406, including 25 seats for female candidates. Here’s the service-wise breakdown:

National Defence Academy

Army: 208 (including 10 for women)

Navy: 42 (including 5 for women)

Air Force:

Flying: 92 (including 2 for women)

Ground Duties (Tech): 18 (including 2 for women)

Ground Duties (Non-Tech): 10 (including 2 for women)

Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme): 36 (including 4 for women)

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Only Indian nationals

Marital Status: Must be unmarried

Age: Born between 01 Jan 2007 and 01 Jan 2010

Educational Qualification:

For Army: Passed or appearing in Class 12 from any recognised board

For Navy and Air Force: Passed or appearing in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

General category candidates (excluding SC/ST and wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs) must pay a non-refundable fee of ₹100

Exam Pattern

There are two written papers, each of 2.5 hours:

Mathematics – 300 marks

General Ability Test (GAT) – 600 marks

Both papers have negative marking: 0.33 marks will be deducted for each wrong, double-marked, or erased answer. Leaving a question blank does not attract a penalty.

Exam Centres in Maharashtra
UPSC has allotted five centres in Maharashtra: Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune and Nagpur.

Syllabus and Further Process
